Syria Revolution Facebook group calls for civil disobedience after Assad speech

The Facebook group ‘Syria Revolution – until freedom’ has called for an organized civil disobedience in all Syrian cities.

The administrators of the group called for an uprising in all Syrian cities after Syrian President Bashar al Assad‘s speech on Wednesday, to prove that” regime has become fragile and stability and security have been weakened by the speech.”

President Bashar al Assad gave a speech earlier on Wednesday at the Parliament and said the incidents in Syria are conspiracies and that concerned authorities will be discussing reforms, without giving a time frame.

The Syrians were expecting their President to speak of serious reforms after violence erupted in several Syrian cities calling for reforms and for the release of jailed activists.

Following the speech, demonstrations have been reported in Latkia and Daraa and people were reported as chanting to Bashar ‘Leave, Leave.”
